Among teachers, there’s some general agreement that classroom teaching is a type of performance, said Jim Morrison, chair of Cardinal Stage’s Education Committee.
“When you bring performance of any kind into the classroom, it energizes the learning and it makes it more exciting,” said Morrison, a paraprofessional at The Project School who has been involved in education for decades.
Cardinal Stage is offering a series of free workshops focused on developing a theatrical teaching style to enhance virtual and in-person lessons for primary and secondary educators of all subject areas. The first workshop will take place 10:30 a.m.-noon Saturday via Zoom.
