Cardinal’s Response to COVID-19
As the effects of the coronavirus start to be felt by our communities, we wanted to reach out to update you on our response.
It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel the remainder of our 2019/20 season, including upcoming productions of Ada and the Engine (March 26 – April 11), The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales (May 1 – 17), & Hedwig and the Angry Inch (June 11– 28). At this time, we do not know if we will be able to reschedule these productions. All ticket buyers and season subscribers should have received an email about our cancellation policy. If not, you can find more information below.
To comply with the current recommendations of medical professionals and government officials, we have also made the decision to cancel the 2020 Red Feather Bash Fundraiser scheduled for Sat April 4 at the Woolery Mill. If you have additional questions about this event cancellation, please contact Managing Director Gabe Gloden at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For the foreseeable future, the Cardinal Stage box office will be closed and all staff members will be working remotely. Rather than call, please send an email and we will be sure to answer all of your questions. You can find staff contact info here.
Our primary goal is to make sure we do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19 and to keep Bloomington as safe as possible.
The unfortunate reality is that the economic impact of the coronavirus will be felt for a long time by theatre organizations like Cardinal. If you would like to help us mitigate the losses we may incur as a result of the virus, please consider a tax-deductible donation to Cardinal Stage at this time. Thank you!
Production Cancellation Policy:
–If you are a Mainstage season subscriber or a Family Friendly subscriber, we encourage you to consider donating the value of your subscription ticket(s) back to Cardinal Stage.
–If you purchased single tickets for Ada and the Engine, The Stinky Cheese Man, or Hedwig and the Angry Inch, we encourage you to consider donating the value of your tickets back to Cardinal.
For any and all ticket donations, the value of your donated purchase will also become completely tax-deductible under current tax law and you will receive an acknowledgement from Cardinal for your records.
To authorize the donation of the value of purchase and/or to discuss refund options, please email Box Office Manager Zachary Taylor at email@example.com.
Thank you for your support during this difficult time, and we hope to see you at the theatre again soon!
