Frequently Asked Questions about Streaming

How do I purchase a ticket for Ordinary Days?
Tickets can be purchased through Showtix4u, Cardinal’s streaming/ticketing platform for this event. Click HERE to purchase a ticket. If you have any questions about how to purchase a ticket, watch this video tutorial.

The show will be streaming on-demand from Thursday, February 11 at 12:00am to Sunday, February 21 at 11:45pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance or during the on-demand window. Each ticket entitles you to one viewing of the performance on one device. Once you start watching the show, you will have 48 hours to finish it. The show will be available for 48 hours from the moment you first begin to watch the show, NOT from the moment of purchase.

Which devices can I use to stream Ordinary Days?
You should be able to stream on most devices you own, including phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers. Because ShowTix4U is browser based (no apps), you can cast the stream to a television using Airplay, Chromecast, or another similar device.

How do I view my streaming performance?
After your purchase a ticket, you will receive an email confirmation. From the email confirmation, you can click the easy “Click to Watch Stream” button, or click on “Click HERE to Download Tickets” to download your ticket packet. The second page of the ticket packet will show your actual ticket. There are 3 ways listed on the ticket on how to connect to your streaming event.

  1. You can scan the QR code to connect to your event on your mobile device.
  2. You can click where it says “HERE” to be instantly connected.
  3. You can go to www.showtix4u.com/stream and enter the 6 digit code shown on the ticket.

If you purchase your tickets in advance, simply save this email until the on-demand period begins (February 11-21). If you have not received your link, please email us info@cardinalstage.org. Please note that you will only be able to watch the video one time per ticket purchase. You can pause during viewing, but your ticket only allows one view on one devise. The show will be available for 48 hours from the moment you first begin to watch the show, NOT from the moment of purchase.

Can I watch the show on my TV or do I have to watch on my computer?
We’d love for you to cast the show to your big screen! The easiest option is to use Chrome Casting, AirPlay, or screen mirroring to play the stream from your phone, laptop or other device to your TV. Here is a list of steps for some common casting setups, or you can find more information in the section below. Unfortunately, due to the sheer number and variations of smart TVs and smart TV software, we aren’t able to troubleshoot individual hardware issues.

What’s the ideal browser to use?
We recommend using the browser that gives you the quickest speeds for your everyday use. Our top choices are Google Chrome and Safari.

How can I ensure the best streaming experience?
For showtime, if you’re experiencing issues, a first step might be to turn the wi-fi off on your other devices. Or, for the strongest connection, connect your device to your router directly with an ethernet cable.

How do I make a video fullscreen?
You’ll find the fullscreen button in the video player, depending on your device it will be in the lower right corner (on PC, for example) or the upper left (on iOS).

What should I do if I’m experiencing connection issues during the show (e.g. video is freezing or audio is not working)?
Your video may need a minute to load. If it is not playing continuously, try pausing it and stepping away for a few minutes and then continuing the show once it’s had a chance to pre-load more of the performance. If you are experiencing connection issues, it may be related to your browser settings, internet bandwidth, or it’s a device-specific issue.

While we can’t guarantee and may not be able to troubleshoot the performance of your specific hardware setup, we have a few recommendations that we hope will help:

  • Pause the video to allow it to load more fully.
  • Make sure you have the most updated version of the software you’re using.
  • Refresh your browser page or try switching to a completely different browser.
  • Make sure there are no other devices connected to your wi-fi that could be creating network traffic.
  • Try connecting to your personal Hotspot on your phone.
  • Restart your wi-fi router.
  • Try switching to a different device.

Who do I contact if I’m having trouble seeing the show?
During February 11-21, we’ll have email and phone support available during box office hours 12 pm – 5 pm to get you started streaming and to answer your questions! Just email us at info@cardinalstage.org or call (812) 336-9300.

Can I watch the performance again after it’s over?
Your ticket only allows you one view. If you want to watch the show again, please purchase another ticket.

If I am a member, how do I redeem my tickets for this show?
If you are a season member, this show is included in your package! All members will receive an email with more information on how to book your tickets. If you cannot locate the email or have any questions, please send us a message at info@cardinalstage.org and we will be happy to assist you. Members are able to watch the show as many times as they would like! If you want to watch the show again after your first viewing, please send us an email at info@cardinalstage.org and we will send you a new link.

How do I access my digital program for the performance?
Click here to view the playbill or Ordinary Days.
